Motivational Monday: Defy the Norm

Writing these motivational Mondays pump me up for my week, and I hope they pump you up for yours! Mondays are SO important, because they set the tone for your whole week. They can be dreadful or wonderful depending on how you approach them.

This week my focus is defying the norm. Just because something is the norm of today doesn’t mean we have to follow it. Certain things that people think are “normal”, I find extremely unnatural- like junk food for example.

In order to live this kind of lifestyle, you have to be able to be confident and stand up for what you want most. Personally I want most to be able to lead as an example, so sometimes that means not eating at a restaurant when everyone is scarfing down cheese fries. Sometimes it means getting called “strange, weird, OCD”, just for caring about my body and it’s health. But in the end, I am not deterred because I have truly begin to understand the relationship between food and our health.

Changing your relationship with food will help you change your relationship with your body. For us ladies, that means stop body-shaming! “Strong is the new skinny”. Now here’s a video for your enjoyment.
